Chanel Coco Mademoiselle came out in 2001, and on Fragrantica its Eau de Parfum holds 33,501 votes at 4.10/5, with 67% of its longevity voters marking “long lasting” or “eternal.” The complaints are about the price. The 3.4 oz (100 ml) bottle costs about $185 on Chanel’s US site, and 45% of the 7,135 people who voted on its value call it “overpriced” or “way overpriced.” Anyone looking for the best dupes for Coco Mademoiselle wants that same profile, citrus with rose and patchouli, for a fraction of the cost.
The community is skeptical. In the 16 Reddit threads we read, several users say no clone gets there and suggest buying a decant of the original instead. Fragrantica’s votes tell a similar story. In the “This perfume reminds me of” section of the Coco Mademoiselle page, where members vote on whether each suggested perfume resembles the original, no cheap dupe gets past 90% agreement.
Three of the cheap dupes sold in the US come close, at 81% to 88% agreement on their own pages, with 2,212 similarity votes between them. To choose among them, we checked that list against each candidate’s own page (rating, longevity and projection votes, and pros and cons), against 191 member reviews, 109 of which name Coco Mademoiselle or Chanel, and against 174 Reddit comments. Three other candidates didn’t make the cut, and the reason for each one is further down.
The golden rule: no cheap dupe copies Coco Mademoiselle whole. The closest one by the votes, La Rive Madame Isabelle (88% agreement), is the one that lasts the least, and the one that lasts the longest, Armaf Club de Nuit Woman, has an opening that splits opinion. Pick by what you value most in the original.

Ordered by price, low to high. Savings compare the price per ml with the original’s (about $185 for 100 ml on Chanel’s US site in October 2026), because the bottles come in different sizes: 90 ml, 50 ml, and 105 ml. Prices are editorial market estimates and fluctuate.
Which dupe for which situation
| If you wear Coco Mademoiselle… | Go with | Why |
|---|---|---|
| At work, in a closed room | Madame Isabelle | 80% of its 259 projection votes are “intimate” or “moderate.” It fades early, so plan on reapplying in the afternoon. |
| Day to day | Raindrops | 628 “day” votes against 203 “night,” the most daytime-leaning of the three. |
| At night and at events | Club de Nuit Woman | 53% of its 2,062 projection votes are “strong” or “enormous,” 61% of its longevity voters say it lasts long, and it’s the most night-leaning of the three (940 night votes against 1,400 day). |
At work in a closed room, the two-feet rule from our guide to perfumes for women’s job interviews applies: the person next to you should only notice your perfume if they lean in.
Why only three
Coco Mademoiselle’s similarity list has 20 perfumes and about 16,500 votes. Eight are Chanel’s own: four Coco Mademoiselle flankers, the EDT, Coco Noir, and two versions of Chance. Two are Dior and two are Penhaligon’s, designer and niche perfumes, not money-savers. Eudora is a Brazilian brand that isn’t sold in the US. Shiseido Zen and Yves Rocher So Elixir split their voters almost in half, at 52% and 54% agreement.
That leaves five cheap dupes, plus a sixth that Reddit brings up, Yves de Sistelle Sanderling. The three on this list are the ones that combine similarity above 80%, a large enough sample, and US availability. The other three, Lidl Suddenly Madame Glamour, Sanderling, and Sofia Vergara Sofia, each get their own section in “The three that almost made it.”

The most upvoted pros on Fragrantica are “long lasting” (690 to 40) and “sophisticated and elegant feminine classic” (659 to 55). The two most upvoted cons are about popularity: “commonly worn by many people” (480 to 147) and “lacks exclusivity” (375 to 192). Those numbers are the yardstick for the dupes. The original lasts a long time and projects strongly, and those are the two places where cheaper clones usually give ground.
A note on versions: Fragrantica keeps separate pages for the EDT, the Intense, the Parfum, and the other variations. This article compares everything with the 2001 Eau de Parfum, the bottle most people have in mind when they say Coco Mademoiselle.
How this list was built
Every perfume below gets a Community Score from 0 to 10, built from the seven criteria in our methodology and fed by Fragrantica votes: the overall rating, the “resembles Coco Mademoiselle” rate in the similarity section, longevity and projection votes, value-for-money votes, seasonal spread (versatility), and how many notes the perfume has that the original doesn’t (originality). The quotes in the “What wearers say” boxes come from Fragrantica member reviews and from Reddit comments in threads posted between 2020 and 2024.
One caveat on Ajmal Raindrops: Fragrantica lists only generic notes for it (“floral notes,” “woodsy notes”), which inflates the originality criterion. That criterion weighs 5%, so the generic notes can lift its 7.9 by at most 0.35, without changing the order of the three, which follows price.
1. La Rive Madame Isabelle — The Closest on Paper
Answers the question: “Which dupe has the largest share of people saying it resembles the original?”
On the Madame Isabelle page on Fragrantica, 210 people voted that it resembles Coco Mademoiselle and 29 disagreed, an 88% agreement rate. That’s the highest share among the cheap dupes and also the smallest sample of the three picks, at 239 votes. The pyramid reads like a condensed version of the original’s: orange and bergamot on top, rose and jasmine in the heart, patchouli with moss and sandalwood in the base. Its overall rating is 3.80 from 364 votes.
- Top: Orange, Bergamot
- Heart: Rose, Jasmine
- Base: Patchouli, Moss, Sandalwood
What wearers say: One reviewer, in November 2025, says it smells exactly like Coco Mademoiselle. Another calls it an “excellent dupe… fresh, citrusy and floral-y,” and a third names the difference: “really similar… but Madame is more citrusy.” One reviewer finds it “quite soapy.” Not everyone hears Mademoiselle in it: one reviewer who compared the two finds them “not very similar,” and others place it closer to Coco Noir or to No. 5. On longevity the reviews contradict each other (one reports about 7.5 hours), and the votes lean toward the short side.
📊 Community Score: 7.6 / 10
Research confidence: Medium · Sources: Fragrantica page with 364 votes · 31 member reviews read (18 name Coco Mademoiselle or Chanel) · 239 similarity votes · no mentions in the 16 Reddit threads
What it replicates: the citrus opening and the overall rose-and-patchouli outline, with the best value of the three by the votes: 89% of its 226 price voters mark “good value” or “great value.”
What it loses: longevity and presence. Only 15% of its 248 longevity voters mark “long lasting” or “eternal,” against 67% on the original, and 33% mark “weak” or “very weak,” so plan on reapplying in the afternoon. On projection, 80% of the votes are “intimate” or “moderate.”
Before you buy: as of October 2026, Madame Isabelle no longer appears in the catalog on La Rive’s website. On Amazon US it’s sold by third-party stores, so stock may run out.

2. Ajmal Raindrops — The One With No Complaints on Reddit
Answers the question: “Which dupe do people recommend when Club de Nuit doesn’t work for them?”
Raindrops dates from 2006, and Ajmal has an official store on Amazon. On its Fragrantica page, 662 people voted that it resembles Coco Mademoiselle Eau de Parfum and 152 disagreed, 81%. Against the Eau de Toilette, agreement rises to 85% (653 to 117), so anyone who knows the original through the EDT tends to find it even closer. Its overall rating is 3.86 from 1,579 votes.
- Notes (as listed on Fragrantica): Floral Notes, Woodsy Notes, Fruity Notes, Ambergris
The page lists only generic notes. The accords the community voted on are floral, woody, fruity, amber, and sweet.
What wearers say: On Reddit it comes up in five of the 16 threads, with eight comments and none against it, though most of them pass it on as a known dupe. The one detailed comparison, in a r/fragrance thread, calls it “by far the closest I’ve smelled,” with “the ylang ylang notes” exact, and says Coco Mademoiselle has a “rounder” smell. Another commenter skips the Armaf version and prefers Sanderling or Raindrops. On Fragrantica, the top con is that it “lacks the depth of the original inspiration” (24 to 4), and an August 2026 review disagrees with all of it: the reviewer has smelled the original and found Raindrops a “bright fresh summer floral/grapefruit” that isn’t very similar.
📊 Community Score: 7.9 / 10
Research confidence: High · Sources: Fragrantica page with 1,579 votes · 80 member reviews read (48 name Coco Mademoiselle or Chanel) · 814 similarity votes · 5 Reddit threads with 8 comments
What it replicates: the original’s clean floral character, in a lighter take. The pro “excellent alternative to Coco Mademoiselle” has 47 votes for and 5 against, and 82% of its 633 price voters mark “good value” or “great value.”
What it loses: depth and some longevity. Of its 893 longevity voters, 45% mark “long lasting” or “eternal,” and the second most upvoted con says performance varies a lot from skin to skin (19 to 13). For some, the initial spray is chemically harsh (17 to 14, close to a split vote).
Price: ~$23 for 1.7 oz (50 ml) EDP, sold by Ajmal’s official store on Amazon · Check price on Amazon. It’s the smallest bottle of the three, and per ml it’s the most expensive of them.
3. Armaf Club de Nuit Woman — The Most Voted and the Longest-Lasting
Answers the question: “Which dupe comes closest to the original’s longevity and projection?”
Club de Nuit Woman is the Coco Mademoiselle dupe with the most similarity votes: 984 for and 175 against, 85% of 1,159. It also has the highest rating of the three (4.04 from 2,999 votes on Fragrantica) and the performance closest to the original’s. Of its 2,003 longevity voters, 61% mark “long lasting” or “eternal,” against 67% for the Chanel. On projection, 53% of its 2,062 voters mark “strong” or “enormous,” against 59%.
- Top: Orange, Bergamot, Grapefruit, Peach
- Heart: Rose, Jasmine, Geranium, Litchi
- Base: Patchouli, Musk, Vanilla, Vetiver
What wearers say: This is the dupe that splits Reddit the most. Of the 28 comments that mention it in the threads we read, 11 are for it and 13 against. The 13 come from seven accounts, and three of them are copies of one account’s post promoting another store. Fans call it “a perfect dupe” and “slightly warmer than the OG,” and one user is about to finish a second bottle. The most common complaint, concentrated in one 2021 thread, is the opening: a citrus that’s “a little too sharp, too citrusy” and “synthetic and abrasive,” which on one person’s skin lasted about two hours, by which point the rest of the perfume had faded too. Others find it too loud or too synthetic overall.
On Fragrantica, the top con says it’s “not as smooth as Chanel Coco Mademoiselle on initial spray” (114 to 46). Several reviewers say it gets much better once the opening settles, a few found it smoother after the bottle sat for a month or two, and a reviewer who tested a Chanel sample on one arm and the Armaf on the other went back and bought two more bottles.
📊 Community Score: 8.0 / 10
Research confidence: High · Sources: Fragrantica page with 2,999 votes · 80 member reviews read (43 name Coco Mademoiselle or Chanel) · 1,159 similarity votes · 9 Reddit threads with 28 comments
What it replicates: the citrus, rose, and patchouli profile, with longevity and projection almost at the original’s level. The pro “comparable to Chanel Coco Mademoiselle” has 216 votes for and 21 against.
What it loses: the smoothness of the opening. The start is more citrusy and harsher than the Chanel’s, and some people give up right there. Reports of how long that lasts run from about five minutes to over three hours, depending on skin, so give it time before you judge it.
Price: ~$30 for 3.6 oz (105 ml) EDP · Check price on Amazon, sold by Amazon. It’s also in our perfume gift guide, as the cheapest pick on that list. Its score there (8.5) weighs how well it fits as a gift, so it differs from this one.
The three that almost made it
These three have real data behind them and lost their spot for one reason each.
Lidl Suddenly Madame Glamour — Sold Only at Lidl
Why it didn’t make the cut: availability. Similarity is high (737 to 127, 85% of 864 votes) and the pro “striking similarity to Coco Mademoiselle” has 45 votes for and 2 against, but it’s a Lidl house brand sold in the chain’s own stores, and we found no Amazon US listing. Longevity is short too: 19% of its 430 voters mark “long lasting” or “eternal.”
Who it still works for: anyone who can find it at a Lidl store. Going by the reviews, it costs little and fades fast.
Yves de Sistelle Sanderling — Closer to the Parfum Than the EDP
Why it didn’t make the cut: it resembles a different version. On the Sanderling page, similarity with Coco Mademoiselle Parfum is 157 to 31 (84%), and with the Eau de Parfum it drops to 74 to 35 (68%). We also found no Amazon US listing.
Who it still works for: anyone who wears the Parfum or the EDT and finds Sanderling at another store. One Reddit user says it isn’t perfect, but layered with a little patchouli oil it gets to about a 75 to 80% match, at about $25 for a 3.3 oz bottle.
Sofia Vergara Sofia — Similar to Some, a Different Perfume to Others
Why it didn’t make the cut: its similarity is the lowest of the six (226 to 134, 63%), and the pyramid explains why: blackberry, plum, and currant buds on top, orchid, rose, and violet in the heart. It’s a sweet fruity scent with no citrus or patchouli, and more than a third of voters disagree that it’s similar. On Amazon US it only showed up from third-party sellers, at about $41 and $140 when we checked.
Who it still works for: anyone who finds the bottle cheap at a discount store. One Reddit commenter says they paid $20 and it “smells just like it.”
What to avoid
- Treating Miss Dior or Chance as a dupe. Both show up on Coco Mademoiselle’s similarity list, and the votes show why they don’t work: Miss Dior (2012) has 63% agreement and costs designer money, and both Chance versions sit below 50%, with more people disagreeing than agreeing.
- Dossier Woody Oakmoss. The brand sells it as inspired by Coco Mademoiselle, but it has no Fragrantica page and no similarity votes, so it stayed off this list.
- Judging Club de Nuit Woman by its opening. The most repeated criticism is about the start, and several Fragrantica reviewers say it gets much better once the opening settles, or after the bottle sits for a month or two.
- Buying a dupe to find out whether you like the original. If that’s the question, a 10 ml decant of Coco Mademoiselle itself costs about $36 and answers it better. Several users in the Reddit threads give the same advice.
Similarity verdict
| Dupe | Similarity to Coco Mademoiselle | Performance | Value | Versatility | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| La Rive Madame Isabelle | Very Good | Weak | Excellent | Excellent | Trying the profile for the least money, in the daytime |
| Ajmal Raindrops | Very Good | Good | Excellent | Excellent | A lighter take, for anyone put off by Club de Nuit’s opening |
| Armaf Club de Nuit Woman | Very Good | Excellent | Excellent | Excellent | Longevity and projection close to the original’s |
The three runners-up, on the same scale:
| Runner-up | Similarity to Coco Mademoiselle | Performance | Value | Versatility | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Lidl Suddenly Madame Glamour | Very Good | Weak | Excellent | Excellent | Anyone who can find it at Lidl |
| Yves de Sistelle Sanderling | Good | Fair | Very Good | Excellent | Wearers of Coco Mademoiselle Parfum or the EDT |
| Sofia Vergara Sofia | Fair | Fair | Excellent | Very Good | Finding the bottle at a discount store |
Scale: Excellent · Very Good · Good · Fair · Weak. “Similarity” follows each perfume’s “resembles Coco Mademoiselle” vote rate on Fragrantica, and no dupe reaches Excellent because none passes 90%. “Performance” follows the longevity and projection votes on each perfume’s own page, and “Versatility” follows how evenly its season votes spread across the year.
Frequently asked questions
Which dupe is closest to Coco Mademoiselle?
By share of votes, La Rive Madame Isabelle, at 88% (210 to 29). By volume, Armaf Club de Nuit Woman, at 85% with 1,159 votes, almost five times Madame Isabelle’s sample. If longevity is part of the question, the answer is Club de Nuit Woman.
Which Coco Mademoiselle dupe lasts the longest?
Armaf Club de Nuit Woman: 61% of its longevity voters rate it long lasting or eternal, against 67% on the original. Ajmal Raindrops is at 45%, and La Rive Madame Isabelle is at 15%.
Why does Reddit split on Club de Nuit Woman?
Mostly because of the opening. The comments against it describe a sharp, synthetic citrus at the start, while fans mostly praise the resemblance and the price, and one longtime wearer says the harsh part lasts about five minutes on their skin. On Fragrantica, several reviewers say it improves once the opening settles, its top con is about the initial spray, and 85% of similarity voters still say it resembles the original.
Do the dupes copy the Eau de Parfum or the Eau de Toilette?
It depends on the dupe. Club de Nuit Woman has its highest agreement with the Eau de Parfum (85%) and less with the EDT (302 to 82, 79%). Raindrops goes the other way: 85% with the EDT and 81% with the EDP. Sanderling, one of the runners-up, is closest to the Parfum and the EDT (84% and 85%) and well below that with the EDP (68%).
Is it worth trying the original before buying a dupe?
Yes, and it costs little. A 10 ml decant of Coco Mademoiselle Eau de Parfum runs about $36, and with it on one wrist you can compare any dupe yourself. It’s also what several Reddit commenters suggest before buying any clone.
Is La Rive Madame Isabelle discontinued?
We couldn’t confirm that. As of October 2026, it no longer appears in the catalog on La Rive’s website. Third-party sellers on Amazon US still have stock, at about $17. If you like it, buy it knowing that restocks aren’t guaranteed.
The verdict
The main bet is Armaf Club de Nuit Woman: the dupe with the most similarity votes, the highest rating of the three, and the longevity closest to the original’s, at ~$30 for a 3.6 oz bottle. Its opening needs time on skin before any verdict.
If Club de Nuit’s opening bothers you, go with Ajmal Raindrops. It has 81% agreement, no comments against it in the Reddit threads we read, and a lighter profile, closer to the Eau de Toilette. It costs ~$23 for a 1.7 oz bottle.
La Rive Madame Isabelle is the outsider pick, with the highest “resembles the original” rate and the lowest price, ~$17, along with the shortest longevity and stock that may run out. It suits everyday wear if you don’t mind reapplying.
If you’re not sure Coco Mademoiselle works on you, start with the 10 ml decant of the original and leave the dupe for later. For other originals, see our guides to Kayali Vanilla 28 dupes and Baccarat Rouge 540 dupes.
